Famous Motor Insurance has been providing direct motor insurance for more than 10 years.

Since 2008, as a result of acquiring Arista Underwriting, Famous now covers motorcycles, scooters and dirt bikes. Famous Motor Insurance is a trading name of Dawes Underwriting Australia, a specialist motor underwriting agency with 20 years experience.

Dawes is 100% owned by the Calliden Group and is underwritten by Calliden Insurance Limited (ABN 47 004 125 268). Calliden is listed on the ASX and is an Australian General Insurer who is APRA regulated and holds an AFSL 234438. Famous arranges policies for and on behalf of Calliden.
